Black,
So I was bored and I decided to write you a letter. I'm already corresponding with Ed, and well, now that I think about it, why didn't I write Molly or Remus instead? They're better friends than you are. Oh Well, the letter is already addressed and it would be a waste of parchment and ink to stop now. You had better respnd. I'm lonely here.
So, I guess it'd only be polite fo rme to ask how your summer has been recently. We're starting our 7th and final year, maybe we should star again, try to be friends. See that little smudge of ink over there? That was me laughing so hard that I knocked my ink well over. I hope that you haven't been pranked too much, though honestly, I'd love it if James had done something permanent to you that messed up your appearance forever.
Everything's well in the Muggle world this summer. I've got no one to talk to but my owl. Think of what the neighbors think when they see me outside talking to Wulfric. They'd have a good laugh that's for sure
Welp, I'm going to do something more useful with my time, '

Lily,
I would like that very much. I have the feeling I've got on your bad side, which isn't a very sensible side of you to be on, and to be honest I'd like to think we are friends, but now I think about it a bit more, it's true we're really not good buddies.
I will try and be more civil and more mature, but I don't have high hopes if I'm frank about it. It's second nature to me! I know you dissaprove, and forthwith I will try not to prank anyone undeserving of it. I wouldn't like to think my immatureness got in the way of my friendships - they mean too much to me to be endangerd by anthing, but you do have to face the fact that me and James are natural born trouble makers - it's not our fault!
As a matter of fact, I ended up pranking myself while trying to prank James. I'll spare you the details but I ended up dangling by my belt loop from a muggle coat hanger attached to a tree in an orchard near James' parents place. James was in fits. I broke my quill as well, which explains the biro. It's so... weird to write with. I've been dipping it in my normal green ink anyway, to make it look like I'm still writing with a quill, but it feels strange. James' mom and dad been really gracious about me staying with them for the second year in a row, I honestly do not know what I would do without James and his family, they're so... nice.
Talking to your owl? If I were the immature person I was approximately half an hour ago before I read your letter, I would here make an immature joke about you going bonkers, but I shall restrain. I hope you appreciate the effort I am making here. But having muggles seeing you talking to your owl isn't as bad as them seeing you hanging upside down suspended from a tree by a coat hanger - James left me out there a long time. I think it had humbled me somewhat. I have been pranking him too to be fair. You heard of water ballons? Diabolical! But of course I would never use them on anyone apart rom James, and maybe Peter - and I really do mean that... sort of.
I'll stop wasting your valuable time now, I have a potions essay to do, I'm really beggining to re-think my career. Still, only one more year, eh? No wait, I forgot, you like potions, don't you? You're good at it as well, that must be nice. I supoose you've done it all already, genius. Lucky for some. Ah well, best get on with it, or it will be me going in Sluggy's next potion.
Yours un-prankingly, Sirius

Hey Black Sirius,
I agree, I think that we could be much more civil towards each other than we are now. I will do my best to be nice, but only as long as you try too. I don't want this to be a one-sided relationship. Though I would prefer if you stopped your pranking altogether, I understand that it comes naturally to you. Please just try your best not to get caught
Ha! I knew James would get you. That's hilarious, how long, exactly did he leave you out there? Long enough to deflate your ego, I hope. I'm sorry that your quill broke, that's no fun. My owl tends to break mine, and then attempts to break my finger's as well, he's a violent little thing.
James is nice... I'm sorry I haven't noticed that sooner. Surely he's told you that we bumped into each other in Diagon Alley? That was fun. I enjoyed it.
Good luck on that potions essay... if you need anyhelp... well ask Remus, he's a smart fellow
Your 'friend'
